Huskies Will Open 2016 with Tough September Stretch

husky-logo-lockup-circleRThe full UConn football schedule was announced this morning by the American Athletic Conference and it’s a tough start to the 2016 season.

After the season opener with Maine, UConn will face Navy, Virginia, Syracuse, Houston, Cincinnati and USF in six consecutive weeks, that could very well determine how the ’16 season will unfold.

The Huskies get four of those games at home, with Navy and Houston on the road, the latter in front of a national audience on ESPN’s Thursday Night Football.

The schedule is highlighted with the renewal of the rivalry with Boston College on Saturday, November 19th at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, MA.

In total, the Huskies will play seven home games at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, including a Friday night battle with Temple on ESPN2 (11/4) and the regular season finale against Tulane on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/26).
