Per multiple sources, should Houston, who is currently up 24-3 in the 3rd quarter on Temple, win the inaugural AAC title game, UConn will return to the bowl scene in St. Petersburg, FL to take on the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, December 26th at 11AM.

The St. Petersburg Bowl, played at Tropicana Field, will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Herd finished the season 9-3, good for third in the East division of Conference USA and included a 41-31 win over Purdue.
